Stepping onto the JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) campus is like opening a window to a barrage of learning opportunities.
Ayush Jain realized this soon after joining the university’s B.Tech programme. And when the opportunity to spend a semester at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) came his way, he couldn’t thank the university’s leadership enough for envisioning JKLU’s one-of-its-kind semester exchange programme.
“One of the highlights of my time there was enrolling in the VLSI Design course, which provided me hands-on experience in the fascinating world of Very Large Scale Integration technology. This course deepened my understanding of circuit design principles and exposed me to advanced tools and methodologies,” Ayush said.
As part of the course, Ayush worked on several mini-projects. The projects involved designing a 6T SRAM cell and approximate dividers, among others.
“Other courses like Computer Organization, Architecture, and 5G provided an incredible opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical implementation, and it truly sharpened my problem-solving skills,” Ayush said.
What made his stay at IIT Gandhinagar unforgettable for Ayush was its vibrant and inclusive culture, combined with the innovative learning environment.
“I’m deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from my professors and peers throughout this experience. This semester exchange not only expanded my academic horizon but also shaped me as an individual, teaching me adaptability, collaboration, and resilience,” Ayush said.
“To anyone considering a similar program: take the leap — it will be a journey to cherish,” he added.
